Raw Milk Quality and Safety and Dairy Herd health.

Is this Raw Milk Safe?
In our opinion, Raw Milk is a very safe food however, Raw Milk has not been pasteurized and must be produced carefully in order to reduce the risk of contaminating it with unwanted pathogens (E coli, for example). We use proven methods to reduce the risk of milk contamination. It is important to remember that no food safety plan is 100% fail-proof. However, good practices do reduce the risk of food-borne illness, but they cannot eliminate it.  Anyone who wishes to drink Raw Milk should make an informed choice.

Our Cows are Milked twice a day in the milking parlor.

We use a nupluse milking machine.

Our milker is washed and sterilized before each milk.

Our cow's udders and teats are washed and dipped with teat dip and dried before attaching the milker.

After Milking the milk is filtered, bottled, and rapidly chilled to ensure safety and quality!

Our Milked is tested monthly for pathogenic bacteria and quality. Test results are available below.
